George and Louise Spindler Award
The Council on Anthropology and Education (CAE) has established an annual award as a tribute to George and Louise Spindler in recognition of their significant and ongoing contributions to the field of educational anthropology. The purpose of this award is to honor scholars and practitioners whose achievements in educational anthropology as researchers or as practitioners have been distinguished, exemplary, and inspirational.
This award is presented each year during the annual meetings of the American Anthropological Association (AAA) along with other AAA awards for outstanding achievement. The recipient receives a certificate of recognition and a check for $500.00.
