Graduate Student Forum
The Graduate Student Forum, held every year at the Annual Meeting Conference, will be on Friday, November 21, 2003, from 12:15 to 1:30 pm in Boulevard Room A. The topic this year is professional development and publishing student work. There will be a panel, including Herve Varenne (Teachers College, Columbia University), Bradley Levinson (Indiana), and Theresa McCarty (AEQ editor, University of Arizona). There will also be time for questions. If you have any items that you would like the panelists to address, please email Brinton and she will pass them along to the panelists.

Meeting topics are solicited from graduate students. Students at any stage of their graduate career are encouraged to contact Brinton Ramsey, the graduate student representative to the CAE Board of Directors, with ideas or suggestions.
New Scholar Travel Stipends
To broaden participation in its activities and annual meetings, the Council on Anthropology of Education awards several stipends of $333 to new scholars (graduate student or recent graduate) from groups underrepresented in the council who are selected to present a CAE-sponsored paper or poster. The stipends are intended to help defray expenses associated with participating in the annual meetings. Individuals are eligible only once to receive the stipend, and first-time presenters will receive priority. Five stipends will be awarded this year. For more info, go to Travel Stipends.
