Call for Papers: Registration Details

ADVANCE REGISTRATION
The AAA requires all program participants to register by April 1. Participants who do not register by April 1 will not be listed in the preliminary or final program.

Registration Rates for Program Participants:

Member Professional - $206
Member Student - $88
Un/Underemployed Member - $170
Retired Member - $170

Non-Member Professional - $361
Non-Member Student - $160

Advance and Onsite Registration Rates for attendees will open Spring 2008!

MEMBERSHIP
Make sure your membership dues are paid in full before submitting proposals (ie. papers/ posters, sessions, and special events).  If you find you have to renew and you do not renew on-line, allow at least 5-7 working days for your membership to become active. (You can check your status here.) To join/renew your membership online, click here. NOTE: In addition to joining as a member you must also pay the member registration fee to submit a proposal.

 

NON-MEMBERS

Participants who are not AAA members may request a waiver of the membership requirement, however the meeting registration fee must still be paid.  If you are a scholar from another discipline, an anthropologist from a country other than the United States or Canada, or a distributor submitting films, you may request a waiver.

 

The person who is not a member requests the waiver of membership when they submit (ie. paper/poster).  No one else should request a waiver on someone else's behalf; the participant is responsible for requesting.

 

HOW TO REQUEST A WAIVER:

Do not submit the "request a waiver form" more than once.

 

1)      Go to the login page and select choice 1

2)      Look yourself up by last name

3a     If your name is not listed, scroll to the bottom of the page to where it says, "Would you like to request a waiver of the membership requirement?  Click here to find out if you are eligible." and follow this link.

3b    If eligible, complete the waiver request form. Completion of the form takes you through the General Instructions (continue at bottom) to the Main Menu.

3c    If you find your name in the system and are eligible for a waiver, click on your name and you will be taken to a completed waiver form.  Do Not submit another waiver form. A duplicate record will jeopardize your submission.

4)     If you are a member who needs to renew, you must login and renew the membership. If you do not have your log-in information, go to "get help." Do not submit a new membership enrollment form as this will create a duplicate record.

5)      If you notice that you are in the system twice, contact us immediately to have the problem fixed.
