Resources for Research and Instruction
One of the primary goals of the Committee for Human Rights is to encourage
research and education on all aspects of human rights, from conceptual
to applied. The Committee encourages colleagues to think, write and
conduct research that touches on all areas of human rights, including
women, genocide and indigenous peoples, and the mitigation of abuses.
The purpose of publishing documentation pertaining to human rights is
to educate other anthropologists as well as the public. Teaching courses
related to this field in a university setting will also further the
promotion of human rights awareness among students.
To assist our colleagues in achieving these goals, the Committee has
compiled bibliographies focusing on several aspects of human rights
and various course syllabi pertaining to human rights issues. Additional
contributions of bibliographies and syllabi are welcome.
